Basically, each submission would get a classification on what machine its made on... i.e I don't like GameBoy so I filter out stuff that's made with GameBoy and focus on thigns that are left like NES/FC, SMS, MD/Genny etc.

Dude, if you wanna filter out stuff use the tags....

yeah man pay attention!

not everyone tells what they used to make the tune with...

i don't think a seperate platform classification feature would change that.

Because it's not important

How is it not important?

In general, I think tags are a good enough method of filtering for platforms. Although it is true that not everyone tells us what their works are made on, surely enough people do to make it relatively effective?

I'm a man of technicalities, and I love to know what system/chip is used within a song. Sometimes I feel like listening to new SID or new NSF or new GB, Having a filtering system that works makes it easily achievable. Thus, being important.

Important for you.
I rather focus on the result rather than whatever nerd shit it's been made with.

That's nice

i;m the nerdiest nerd by the way big_smile

Aren't we all wink

Hasn't this been suggested many times before?

My original idea for this was to let certain tags be platform tags, other software tags, yet other genre tags. They would work exactly like any other tag, but the tags would be shown in groups for easy access, in tho song listing page, on individual song pages etc. What thinks?
