If you don't have contacts/a place to stay, a few of us are staying in the 12-bed dorm at http://www.budgetbackpackers.com/ this hostel in Edinburgh - it's cheap (£64 for 3 nights), safe (they have lockers onsite), and a 2-4 minute walk from the venue (according to google maps)!
Come and join us for a sleepover/party (but be wary of non-chippers staying in the same room, of course)!

I might try and get in that place too, but I got up to 8 people possibly coming! My se will be the audio representation of four men being sick in a bucket, then throwing it at a llama. I might dress up.
